will MP3 rear sway bar bushing fit stock bracket?

as few of you may know, I recently installed a MP3 rear sway bar onto my 2000 ES. A definite handling improvement. But there was a compromise that had to be made during the install. I had to cut the stock bushing (for the 16mm stock bar) so the 20mm MP3 bar will fit. Apparently it is not working as well as I hoped it would, as the sway bar has been shifting to one side of my car constantly.

So, my question for the experts here: If I am to buy the MP3 rear sway bar bushings from the dealer, will it fit onto the stock bushing's bracket? I know the mounting points and the brackets on the MP3's rear crossmember is totally different from the ES, but perhaps the rubber bushings are still the same size?

any advice/ideas??

I don't think it'll work. I thought the bushings were a complete thing with the mounting bracket. But I might be wrong.

You should be able to get supplemental rubber bushings that but up against the stock bushings to help control side to side movement.

When I installed my MP3 rear swaybar I opened up the stock brackets so the MP3 bar would just fit . You have to force the stock brackets on. I also used the spacers from AWRracing to allow the MP3 bar to fit without buying the crossmember.
As for the bar sliding check the rubber rings on the MP3 bar ,They may be loose ,mine were ,I used a hose clamp to make sure they were tight . I have no problems since .
