so in my conclusion you guys are just making this out to be a larger problem than it is....you can fold, cut, repaint, w/e, the fenders and slap whatever rim you want on.....long as it is not like a 36+

well, rubbing IS an issue since your fender will be cutting into the tire and the tire will wear down the fender and prolly chip the paint. but you're right, it's not like the tire's supporting the weight of the fender or something. if that was the case, you've got major problems. yes, it's a problem that's not too hard to fix, but it's just easier not to have to deal with it.
