will 215/45-16 fit stock rims?

i checked the tire size calculator online and the 215/45-16 was a good size that i wanted to get. but i was wondering if the tire would fit my stock Protege 2002 ES 16 inch rims (width wise). Thanks.

Oh, I forgot ...

I have 215/45-17's on my 2002 P5 and I had to roll the back fenders to stop
the tires from rubbing when hitting bumps. The front is ok.

if you search, you'll find that some people have fit the Azenis in that size on their stock rims. YMMV.

i'll change to 205/50/R16 once i get my car lowered.

i'm a bit paranoid about 6" width of stock rim. 205/45/R16 is about the widest i would go. someone did fit 215/45/R16 on stock rim, but i won't.

215/45/17 is wider than stock by an inch so its normal to roll the fenders but with 215/45/16 you are 2 mm smaller than the original....so it would fit...ill be installing these tires on my p5 tomorrow so ill post you my comments on them and the tires are dunlop direzza dz101 215/45ZR16 on stock rims! :D (2003 P5 tho)(drunk)
