Widest Tire fitment?

I dont know much about offsets and all of that but I was just curious if it could be played with to obtain a staggered formation of 18x7.5 front and 18x8.5 rear. Again not sure if this a completely stupid question so no flaming please. Just thought by maybe increasing or decreasing offsets would give more width in the wheel well. Thanks

i had a 275/50/15 on my fronts yesterday. it was a dragradial. and it was stickin out the fender alittle lol. but im dont think a 8.5in wheel would fit in our rears.
ps u still have my old hood?

probably 225, but that would probably bring the tire to the outer edge of the fender and you'll be rubbing pretty good.

even if the 18x8.5 would fit in the rear, they'd only be dead weight on a front-heavy FWD car

the car understeers enough as it is

Gotcha, thanks guys I was just trying to get a deeper dish in the back when I go for the deep dish red on red...o well.

CWILL-

Yup same hood, its actually the last thing i bought for the car up until now. Its down at TBK in Miami. Manuel, Juan's brother, is istalling the same internal setup as superpotege along with a few other mods. Should be done in about a week. I can hardly wait, were goin with a lower compression piston than the one superprotege has, so he says it should be able to run at 18lbs on pump gas.

well to really answer your question. Use a 17 x 7" wheel on all four corners, with a +48 MM offset, and a max 215/40 width. I am running them right now. I have NOT rolled my fenders, I have dropped it on Eibach springs.
It will NOT rub at all. and the tires are VERY close to the fender, but do not rub. IF you know Richie, he got this set of wheels for me, he knows his stuff.
