Wider...

Any idea how wide a rim speed6s will take? I was thinking of getting some rims and I wanted to do 19"s but thought I could stick with 18"s but only if I could get at least an inch wider with the rubber. What say you?(bump)(braindead(wow)

What say Tire rack? They're the experts and could lend a hand. Also, take a look on my sig, there is a neat wheel/tire guide on there for you.

not sure why you provided a link saying that only 6.5-8 inch width.s work on the MS6.... I personally have 8.5inch wide wheels on my car and there are some posts about a guy with 9inch wide ones.... the link might be a good place to start, but it is far from the "be all end all" for wheels.

Did you have to roll your fenders? Do they rub? Or did they ever rub? Is the car lowered?

I was informed that unless you want to roll your fenders or have rubbing issues 8" was max.

I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.(encourage

I probably SHOULD roll my fenders, but I haven't yet at this time. I have rubbed only a single time in about 5 or 6 months with this wheel/spring combo. I am lowered .5" front and rear. I had no rubbing at all with the stock suspension and these wheels.

Yes thanks for the info mdogg. Knowing if you had to roll your fenders is important information. Thanks for being a stickler for pertinent (I hope that's spelled right) information Killer! All of your info is noted and I will be using this info when selecting my rims!

In case you cared.... my wheels are 18x8.5 +45mm offset! The offset is a HUGE factor in the rubbing issue.... as is the size of tires you mount and the brand (as the ACTUAL size can vary from brand to brand for a given size rating!). I have Falken 512 235/40/18s on mine and have the single rub incident (and it was actually over some NASTY construction areas where they tore up the road).
