i have a aem wideband from my talon, question is do i need to weld an extra bung into my exhaust to hook it up on the msp

The stock j-pipe has an extra bung that can be used for a wb.

I think AEM recommends a safe distance of 18" past the turbo. You should get a new one welded in place. doesn't cost much anyway.

It does. In N/A Proteges this is the location of the secondary O2 sensor but on the MSP it's just closed up with a plug. Remove the plug (good luck) and put your wideband there. I have been running my AEM wideband in the location (but using Corksports downpipe) for over 1-1/2 years and I've not had a single problem.

What did you do with the secondary 02 sensor? Did you just unplug it from the factory harness and not use it? Does the MSP not use a secondary 02 sensor?

The MSPs have the secondary O2 sensor in the midpipe (where both of their cats are). I got the MSP O2 sensor wire extender (I forget the P/N at the moment), welded a bung into my CS exhaust midpipe, used a nonfouler and everything is fine.

I think the "best" spot for the wideband sensor is in the j-pipe. I have mine there, and the 2nd o2 sensor in the midpipe AFTER the cat.
