Well, last year, I had my car parked in a parking lot for hockey, the Gretzky Center in Brantford...I go out after my game, hear my alarm going off, ok, wutever, someone rubbed it with hockey equipment..s*** happens. Get out there, and there is a nice ding, through the paint, on the front right quater panel..jeez..look next to me..a mustang, with titanium paint on the front....I talk to the guy, he denies everything(he was still in his car), I call the cops..for some reason they got there really fast, the guy was still waiting. They talk to me, and since while I called he got the paint off his car, they say there is no way to prove anything..so I leave, acting really nice, and all "Oh, wutever, it's just a car, hope you have fun during your game, have a nice day coppers" etc...no-one wrote my plate number down...I go back, and write on his hood, with my keys"Thanks for the dent asshole" making sure to etch it nice and deep, I then give a good hoof to his door, denting it. Nuff said.I over-reacted here, and still kinda feel bad about it, but i mean, I got ****** over by him AND the cops, so I decided vigilante justice would do. However, usually I am good about this stuff. Once, when I was in a real hurry(it was an emergency), and I parked in the emerg parking in the hospital...while getting out, my door bumped the Chrysler next to me...I could see any damage, even with rubbing the paint a bit, just to make sure it wasn't hidden by the dirt...I couldn't see anything. But I decided I'd play it safe, left a note, including my Licence number, and Phone number and Name...person called me. They started off sounding like I just murdered their car, they where all "You bumped my car right? yeah, well I was looking at the door....and I couldn't see anything, and neither could anyone else. Thanks for your honesty non the less, you are a good person". I got thanked for being honest about it, but still, thats the only time I've ever bumped a person. I've had friends do it, and I make them leave a note. It's just not right. I've left notes when I've witnessed it too...like, some people don't even realize they've bumped a person, thats inocent..then you get the people who jam their door open, look at the dent/scratch, and start the car and drive away, those are the ones I make sure to leave a note about.
