If you've got 16x7 +40 rims please post pictures (preferably closeups of the wheel gap) along with the tires (brand and size) you are using.

I have seen people with stock 195/50/16 tires and this offset but I am wondering if I could go 205/50/16 (or possibly 205/55/16 with a little fender rolling).

Im not sure on that, because I have 16x7 with a 42 offset and with 205/50/16 toyo proxes4 and I had to raise the back end up a little bit because of some rubbing. If you dont slam the car on the ground you might be alright

How low are you?...I've been thinking about your wheels...I bet they are really +40. No one has the GT3s in +42 and Rishie says it will be 2-3 months before the special order will go through of +45s (asuming enough people sign up).

I just installed Espelirs which are a 1.4" drop, I was considering the Proxes4 and if that's how they look I might just go with that and roll the fenders if needed.

See my attachments ;)

These are on stock tires and H&R springs (1.3in drop) btw, (195/50R16)

Wow, thanks carmaniac...thats about all the info I need. I think I'm going to stick with 195/50/16 if I go with +40. My drop is about the same and it looks like you have plenty of room to play. I bet some 205/50/16 tires will fit but Its too close to call.

I can't find the GT3s in stock anywhere so I'm thinking about the TrackRs in Bronze (top center)...

You're not lowered Alpine right? Do you have a side shot of the rear like carmaniac? Wheels look good btw (I saw them in the other thread you posted).

These aren't really close enough to help you, but here are my 16" +40 offsets with 205/55/16 rubber.

Yup, it's factory (MSP) drop. I don't really like the looks of the tires (big sidewall) but they serve their purpose becuase they're for winter. Semperit Sport Grips.

Just a side note - with the factory MSP drop I WOULD rub on a rare occasion with people in the back while hitting a bump. The tiniest of fender shaves cures that though.

I think that setup would rub with my Espelirs. Looks good for a winter setup though. I've got 195/55/15 semperits for my winter setup.

I will try to get some side shot for you tomorrow...Just got back from vegas =p Also, just tinted last friday so car needs some new photos anyways!
