So how would get a super charger for their 3 if one was ever manufactured? Be it from Vortech, Jackson, or Wolff???? Just wondering, I would love to get a SC, I love the sound!!!!! I know a lot of people want a turbo, and that is more likely to happen but hypothetically. late.

shag' (silly)

would it be as easy to supercharge and performance chip upgrade the MZ3 as it is to do to the Ford Fuctus. My boy had a Focus ZX3 and put the supercharger and all kinds of other mods on it. The f'in thing had balls. He ended up sellin it as a show car.

Sc

I would rather a supercharger over a turbo thats just the way I am either way that would be pretty hot Hey it might happen and I'd be on it quick

its the same engine as in the new focuses so look for parts there soon.......also there are some volvo parts in the mazda as well..I think the base s40 model...would have to check again

Supercharger? Yes. Most preferably roots or twin screw. Turbo? No thanks.

the amount of mis-information in this thread is stunning!

Just go buy a bunch of focus parts and throw them on your 3....enjoy.

There's only 6 posts. And only 3 of them are actually providing any information.

I think you stun too easily. (uhm)

(dance) mine is one

The Focus does have a identical engine but that does not mean parts will fit. Different bodies mean some parts like exhaust and cai's might not work. The Focus TB is cable and ours is controlled by the ecu. And I am pretty sure there are no volvo parts in the 3 or the Focus, yes there are many Ford parts in the 3. And to keep this on topic, I'd get a SC if it could push 220hp+ on 91pump gas.

I am sure there is volvo parts in it...well thats what it says in the latest issue of consumer reports.......ask them

Since Volvo and Mazda both fall under the Ford umbrella, it's probably more to the point that they share certain parts, irrespective of who makes them.

For instance, the plant that I work in makes starters for Ford/Lin/Merc, Jaguar, Volvo, etc but they're all the same stuff, just with a different sticker on it.

Can you post a link. I find it weird that you would find any volvo parts in a 3, thats just like saying you will find volvo and mazda3 parts in the new focus.

The Mazda3 shares 42% parts with the new Volvo S40/V50 and next-gen euro-Focus siblings. All the shared parts are underneath the sheetmetal and not visible to the typical consumer.

I doubt you'll find any part on the Mazda3 with a Volvo label though, the shared parts are stamped Ford Motor Company. The 2.3l Mazda3 wheel hubs and brake pads are two examples without even opening the hood.

I actually was digging around under the hood of mine today while installing the autodim mirror and noticed quite a few things with FoMoCo labels. Wiring harnesses and ignition coils just to name a couple.

*shrug* It's all good. While I hate Ford vehicles, I do have to admit that their electronics are quite good.

Theres actually more Ford in this car than most realize.

ford ------> mazda ------ probes = smaller 626
