Nice collection. How is your Taurus PT145 holding up? I've got the PT111 9mm and have had no problems at all but I heard the frames like to crack on the .45. The trigger pull is still a b**** on mine though......looking to trade up to a Glock 19 probably.

Thats some cool s***! That first gun is definately not legal...I want one!! Hahah..... What is the other gun that everyone is shooting and falling on their asses?

The shotgun is a USAS 12. I think that's about the only full auto shotgun ever made, at any rate, its the only one I've ever seen personally. Crazy s***.

I can't get the other videos to download, bleh, damned crappy work connection!

It's held up pretty well so far. I've been shooting Black Hills Ammo for my "range fodder" and I've probably but 50 or so Cor-bons through it without any issue. Seems to be pretty sturdy. Yeah, the trigger pull on mine is a pain in the ass as well. I think my dad actually has the PT in his truck, while I have his Glock 27 as a "trade". (Heh, he thinks the .40 is too small... lol)

If the Model 19 performs anything like my model 23 (which I'm sure it would other than the difference in caliber) go for it. The 23 has been 7,500 rounds or so, without a single malfunction of any kind. My favorite gun to carry.

fwiw, my cousin went to the shooting range the other day, he brought back the target shooting posters (with 'bad guys' on it lol) that he was shooting at, one of the posters was a robber holding a hostage. He said the very first shot he fired (first shot ever in his life IIRC) went right at the hostage's head lol

so yeah, more pics/videos, less gun control talk!

I may go to a shooting range too, see what the fuss is all about :)

yeah, I've rented the 19 at the range a few times and just love it. I used to have a pre-ban model 23 a couple years back but sold it because I was moving to Ohio and they have no concealed carry so I just said **** it. Now I'm in NC where they thankfully don't feel the need to leave we citizens at the mercy of criminals :)

I've rented and shot about every handgun there is at one time or another at the range and the Glock is by far my fave too. My only gripe really is that I don't like how flat the slide release is. Sometimes just seems hard to release if you have anything less than bone dry fingers.

Wanna know how many planes would have crashed on 9/11 if law abiding citizens would have been allowed to pack? My bet is "0".

This is a very VERY bad example. You give the right to law abiding citizens and you give the right to those hijackers. They would have taken their own guns out and shot every person on the plane before they over took it. Good versus Bad only gets messy when more guns are added to the picture.

If people were allowed to carry guns on planes there were be countless incidences of violence, plane crashes, and mayham in the sky.

I don't think the hijackers were citizens so they wouldn't have been able to carry on the planes. I think this is a VERY GOOD example because I don't know about you but I'd rather have a fighting chance in that situation as a legally armed citizen than to be at the mercy of some terrorist criminals where I can do nothing but sit and watch as they fly me into a building. 5 terrorists with guns would have had no hope against a full plane where maybe 30% of the people were legally carrying. Even if some died.....it would have been far less than the total loss that we had.

You've got to keep in mind that when you disallow legal arms on a plane you are ONLY disarming law abiding citizens. Criminals and terrorists may still find ways to illegally smuggle arms aboard and find other ways to kill. The criminals & terrorists are completely unaffected by such rules. It simply puts the bad guys in TOTAL and complete control as soon as they find ways around the system.....and puts the good guys utterly at their mercy. I mean we already know the bad guys are armed.......why not arm the good guys too?

Arm everyone, that is your solution?

I would not want to trust the airlines with making sure only citizens get on planes with guns. They have enough trouble identifying people as it is.

and I would not want to trust YOU to kill a potential hijacker.

What if it was just a person of middle eastern decent who got up to go to the bathroom. 30 passengers would have their weapons out ready to blow his head off. . .30 passengers who didn't have to pass a proficiency exam with their weapon. 30 passengers who could easily shoot a inocent bystander by accident. 30 passengers who could pierce the pressurized cabin with their stray bullets.

I'm sorry, but every person with a gun is an accident waiting to happen. If you want to catch bad guys, become a police officer or join the army. They at least get the training required to carry their weapons.

I wouldn't have a problem with hand guns if every person had to go through the training a police officer does just to carry one.

I think I paid $12 for my extended slide release, and about $10 for the extended mag catch release. It makes a huge difference, and like you said, that was my main complaint when I got the gun. I had it installed then, back before I was Glock Armorer. They used to rent guns at a range here, but they quit for some stupid reason. Hell, I can't remember how many reciepts I have for guns that I've sold or traded... something like 150.

www.glockmeister.com has some good kits for upgrades, and they sell all the parts you could need for any series glock.

Yeah, I've had my Carry Permit for ~5 years now. (other than the carry permit for the county.) I was half-ass responsible for the arrest and conviction of two drug dealers at a dorm where I was going to college. I was an R.A., and accidentally got them busted when they were bagging up their pot and cooking Crystal Meth. Damned room checks.

I got my permit a few months later, when the lesser of the two got out of jail and tried to set my truck on fire in the dorm parking lot.

i want one of those new russian am-94 assult rifles. recoil and gas opperated. the barrell itself actually recoils so theres not too much kick making it very easy to control in full suto

we used to call the black talons cop killers. they go right through kevlar. we used to have a couple of cases when they first came out we used to cut down trees with them

We tried out some 9mm, and .40 black talons at the State H.P. range, and they weren't all that spectacular. Maybe you had some freaks or something, but our factory cor-bons outdid the Black Talons in Ballistic Gellatin at every distance we shot at. There's a bunch of rounds that will punch through Kevlar, not Kevlar and the Ballistic plate though... We shot and old vest with the plate in the back with an AK and steel core ammo, it almost punched through, but not quite.

no, I'm only talking about allowing citizens who are already permitted to legally carry firearms to do so on planes.....not issue everyone who goes on the plane a gun. We have enough morons with guns already.

BTW in Israel they actually DO issue the citizens guns......and most times will issue guns to citizens right from the military armories. They encourage legal carry conceal......and their gun crime rate???? You guess it.....nil.

That's good stuff to know about the Glocks....looks like a pretty easy and cheap thing to fix. Thanks for the URL's!

loj68-

you might be one of the scariest mf-ers i know (just the term not the malicious version of mf-er).

my first suggestion is that we get off the lo-threadjack and post goofy bastards playing with weapons that are too powerful for them... (for everyone, myself included)
second suggestion is to think about the possibility of everyone on a plane armed to the teeth with concealed weapons... so what you're telling me is that you'd give McVeigh, Teddy Kozinsky(sp?), and that rabid-looking mf-er(in the bad sense) John Walker the right to carry on a plane with your kids on it?
thirdly, and i'm probably going to get flamed on this one, but I think that its highly likely that the framers of the Constitution were talking about musket loaders when they said that everyone has the right to carry to defend themselves from an oppressive government. someone said a while back in the thread now that he and his roomies could hold off a swat team for a little while. DOES THAT NOT SCARE ANYONE ELSE?!!! but in the end, if the government wants in then guess what, you are not going to stop them, that's what they've been trained for.

I have no problem with people having howitzer-like rifles in their houses (they are more intimidating to burgalars anyways, right?) for hunting and trying to keep out the government, but more often than not handguns tend to be involved in crimes and accidental deaths from "law-abiding" citizens.

flame away, but at some point it'd be cool for somebody else to post pics/vids of retards with penis envy.

haha yes that is me. Yes that is a claymore on my back. No I'm not in highschool. Muhaha.

Like my four foot double barrel carriage shotgun? It is part of the way the expression, "I get shotgun" came along when calling side seat with the driver. Mostly, getting shotgun involves protecting the carriage, in side saddle, with your big ole shotgun.

eh, whatever
guns or no guns, gun control or no gun control, Americans are still going to kill each other.

I see no need to kill anyone and no need to own a weapon other than a baseball bat or a kitchen knife. I'll just live my happy New England suburb life and not think about it anymore.

Besides, all those americans that die each year from gunshot wounds diserve it right? And so many more people die from tobacco smoke and automobile accidents.
