this will probably be the nicest response to this thread.

There has never been, nor will there ever be an Actual "Mazdaspeed Protege5"

Please stop kidding yourselves.

Actually I saw one done by the dealership.

I bet who ever paid for that to be done at the dealership got a nice big kick in the ass for installation and purchasing the kit. Wait, do dealerships even really install this? Oh, and there never was a msp5 or whatever offered by mazda.

mazda dose not make them. you can put a mazda speed kit in your car and you can call it what ever you want but if you put a mazda speed kit in your car it becomes a mazda speed. and if you have a MP5 and put mazda speed kit in to it it becomes a MSP5 just like if you were to put a mazda speed kit in a LX it becfomes a MSP

Um, no, there are other factory modifications for an MSP besides a turbo kit. That's a ridiculous conclusion.
Someone PLEASE kill this stupid thread. I can already feel the flames burning my ass.

1. Mazda Protege5 (aka MP5) isn't built anymore, so there wouldn't be a MSP5 model. I can understand if the dealer wanted to drop a turbo in and sell it as an aftermarket add-on. They added racing harts, an exhaust and some other stuff to a Laser Blue P5 and sold it as aftermarket add-ons at a dealership around here.

2. If he heard about something like this, and is just asking a simple question.................why not just answer his question instead of jumping down his throat?

There are some people that have swapped all of the MSP stuff down to the floormats & door sills into a p5 but they commonly refer to it as an MP5-T. The mazdaspeed versions of these cars were factory built and the title of Mazdaspeed *protege, miata, 6...* is reserved for the factory tuned cars. Just cause you put a factory turbo under the hood of a LX doesnt mean you have a MSP, an MSP is a limited run car, you cant just build one.
