Who has 56k these days?

Just curious. I see so many 56k warnings in photo threads and it makes me wonder...

I have had to go back to 56k once and man was that bruital!

I have been on broadband for over 3 yrs now but when i am on an aircraft carrier over sea's (Like i was for the last 7 months) it is not even 56K, actually it is worse than 28K most of the time so i know how anybody who is their feels

Well when I use the internet with my phone, it's like 56k but I still think my phones is faster..... But I miss that dial-up sound!

I must say this is the first time i have seen signatures and avators in 7 months. They slowed down my 28K ship connection way too much! Damn 5000 people trying to get on one connection all the time.

Allright I am done now! Back to the dial up question!

cant live without broadband - but when i visit my pop's he only has 56k if i'm lucky - too far for him to get DSL and too much to get cable. At least
that's only once or twice a year and only for a few days.

I use a hand cranked phone and have Edna connect me. As long as the party line isn't being taken by Bernice next door.
