Which offset for my P5? 44? 50? ...

Just wondering, which offset would be good for the rim below. Its a:

VOLK GT-N (gunmetal)
17 x 7.0
Offsets available: +16, +22, +29, +35, +37, +44, +50
Tire size: Probably 205/40/17

I would go with the +50, then you have the ability to go with a slightly larger tire, say a 215/40/17. Those are sweet BTW! What is the price on those, cause I might consider them. I did a litle research and found what the cost is. A little out of my range, but they are sweet. Why not go all out and get the 18x7.5 +49 offset and put some 215/35/18s on there. No, that is kicking

18x7.5 with 49 offset? I have been reading some posts and i thought 18x7.5 would rub? Also, i read somewhere that if i lowered the car later that it will rub with 18" rims.

Another question, would 215/40/17 rub on the 17" rims? Also, would the 44 offset on the 17" be more flush (beter looking?) 50 offset soundsvery deep inside the wheel well, again, thanks for the input, help is appreciated.

I am simply going by what Rishie (ARD MP5) posted on another board and I am sure his fitment resipe is floating around here somehwere. Figure the stock wheels come with either a +50 or +55 offset, you have some room. According to Rishie, the 7.5" wheel will work with out rubbing, even on a lowered car, as long as the offset is +48 or larger. I hope all that is true, cause I am looking at some 18x7.5 rims right now. I think the +50 would be better for fitment, especially if you want to run a larger tire (215) you can probably do it with a +50.

Okay.....heres the deal....below you will find Richie's fitment guide for the P-5 and Sedan.....he KNOWS what he is talking about....he not only owns a P-5, he owns and operates a wheel and suspension shop in CA and has actually tried nearly ever wheel/tire combination on the car to VERIFY it works and won't rub......so.....witht that said.....here is the information...and considering how much GREEN you are about to lay out for a set of wheels/tires....I personally would give him a call and talk to him to absolutely FOR SURE verify that the wheel/tire/offset I was considering will work.....it could only cost you a couple bucks if that for the call...his number is at the bottom of the offset information.

7.5" +48 or higher, the +45 still worries me with this width on a 205.

Can run 2 to 3 mm less offset than the Wagon. Appears to have a little more room under the fender. As we've got no problems with wheelguuruu's 19's at all.
