which o2 sensor to buy?

the protege garage version is a direct plug in, the other requires you to clip and attach the original wire socket. the actual sensor part is likely the exact same piece. the disadvantage to the clip on universal sensors, like the autopartswharehouse.com version, is that if you dont get a good connection at the wire joints, the sensor might not work correctly.

i got mine from advance auto (bosch universal) for 60, its same as the one from auto warehouse, you gotta splice it into the stock connector, it comes with a nice unit to do it with too, worth it IMO.

just got the o2 sensor from autozone. its the bosch direct replacement so i cant mess it up lol. the codes that the car was throwing were P1034 and P0300. lean bank 1 and a misfire. swapping it out in 30 min and we will see how she runs

lol let the car cool down before you install. otherwise youll be veeeerrrryyyyy sorry. hahaha

if you have them mechanix gloves or whatever they are you should be fine, but when i did it i let the car cool for about 40 minutes, and the sensor was still extremely hot, but i pushed through it and sucked up the pain, lol. it wasnt hot enough to leave a mark or anything at that point.
