Which Class III Hitch for a 2016 CX-5?

I'm confused on how do I know which class 3 there are several different curt class 3s I'm so confused someone is selling a class 3 hitch but I don't know if it will fit do all class 3 models fit my 2016 CX-5???

Why don't you just call Curt? If I remember correctly, their customer service is pretty good.

OP,
when I had a '08 CX9, I brought a hitch (3") from etrailer.com.

They sent me a slightly bent unit. Holes did not line up perfectly.
I managed to get it installer by gradually tightening the bolts alternatively.
Curt is a good brand. I thought I got the other one.
Don't remember it now.

Just to echo what others said - I had hitch installed on both of my Mazdas - 2013 CX-5 (Curt, class II) and 2024 CX-5 (went to U-Haul and got it from there, class III).
Curt is a good brand and you can get either class from them, and then install yourself or take somewhere. Not sure where you are located, but going to U-Haul was painless and not super expensive.

Remember, just because the hitch is rated Class III doesn't mean the CX-5 can tow that much. Off of the top of my head, I think it's only rated like 2000 pounds, and that's counting the weight of the trailer itself.

Right on. Since I don't plan on attaching any bike racks and other attachments that would be more easily available for class 3, I installed a Curt class 2 and it's still rated at 3500 lbs which is way over the 2000 lb CX-5 max tow rating.
