Which CD/MP3 player deck?

Ok so I'm looking to get a new deck for my 01 Protege ES. Not sue whats all out there but im just wondering what you guys think is good? I want to stay in the $200-$230 price range. It has to have a good wattage output. I like Eclipses, Kenwoods, Sony... it has to be MP3 and Satellite would be nice too and also Aux input would be nice as well. Any ideas would be great.

Also has anyone installed speakers in the rear doors? Does it take away power from the other 4?

if you put in new speakers you ought to use an amp.. alpines are nice.. look on crutchfield.com for other head units

Kenwood is fairly cheap for decent quality and lots of options and good sound. I bought one for $200 that had aux input. Only problem with Kenwoods is it takes a lot of effort to change settings and is really confusing for the first few times using it. Also the screens are crap and have no visibility in the sun. Defenitly don't go Sony, total crap. I'd recommend Eclipse, Alpine or Pioneer. Pioneer is cheaper than alpine and is still awesome. for your price pioneer is the best way to go.

use a pioneer HU, you will not be displeased, ive never had a problem with mine.

right now im using a JVC deck with a USB input, (also with OLED) JVC doesnt sound like a good brand, but i dont even think they make it. the pre amp outputs are 5v! and it was only $200 CDN,

For the headunit/radio, Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, Eclipse, and JVC will do, yes JVC. Most newer radios are MP3 capable and JVC makes feature packed decent radios at an affordable price. I have an older Kenwood eXcelon, that I've had for about 5 years that is still going.
And your speaker sizes in the front doors are 6x8, the rear doors don't have an exact fit but will fit 6 1/2s and the rear deck has 6x9s. and if you swap out the stock deck you'll lose either the rear doors, or the rear deck, personally the rear doors aren't a big big lose.

If u didn't already buy it I would say get Alpine or Pioneer i wouldn't trust any knock off brands and its a place called crutchfield.com they have all kinds of head units under $230
