Where to get aftermarket lug-nuts for the Protege5..?

Gorrila lugs....not sure who sells them but they come in several colors and come with a wheel lock key.

Its not good to use aftermarket tuner style lugnuts on stock wheels. Are mazda lugnuts and accorn shape like this (_)? If they are the tapered style \_/ lungnut then there is no problem,if they are accorn shaped, the tapered lugnut would not contacting enough of the hole, might not have enough friction force, and then come off.

i have splined drives on my stock rims for the winter. They look good. I lost one of my stock lugs and i had these lugs sittin around so now there on, No problems yet.

Lug Nuts

With regard to McGard lug nuts, their listed replacement for all models of Mazda is part no. 64002 (available in 4-packs). These are M12 x 1.5 non-tuner, cone seat, closed end types. They are much longer and heavier than the OEM nuts and they might stick out too far to allow use of the stock wheel covers. I guess their advantage is that they look good (triple-nickel chrome plated) and that by covering the ends of the lug nut studs, they prevent rust. Locks are also available under separate part nos. and you can also buy complete kits.

Tuner nuts and locks (including spline-drive) are also available either separately or as complete kits as mentioned above.

Another possible alternative is to use lug nuts from a 1998 Kia Sephia (they may be used on many other models and years of Kia as well). These are chrome plated, closed end nuts with the correct thread pattern that are only a little longer than the Mazda ones so they should fit under the wheel covers without interference. Other car companies may have equivalent parts but you would have to check for yourself.

Just try any import place on the net. The gorilla lugs are a spline drive. You can get them through Summit racing who also sells other types of lugs.

I found these on summitracing.com, they are McGard and the are 12*1.5....
i wanted black lug nuts ...would these be ok for my P5 on stock wheels..?
i'm assuming if the lug nuts are 12mm by 1.5 then they are ok for our cars right..?

chicken, the ones you just posted are available in several colors in those sizes on ebay for 29.99 plus shipping. they have open ended and non open ended as well as acorn style and not. As mentioned above it may not be a good idea to use the acorn style on a stock wheel. Although I would think it is the threading between the lug nut and the bolt and how tight you make it that would be the main factor in keeping the wheels and lugs on.

They would be fine as long as they are the proper size. just torque the lugs down good. I should get some black ones for my wifes yellow mp5. Also, stay away from open ended lugs.

Hey Jliao i went to the forperformance.com site but i couldnt find the lug nuts for sale
