Where to get 16 x 7 steelies?

They probably won't be 7" wide. More like 6". They're so soft and heavy .. why not get some Rota slipstrems or something which are light and cheap.

Cheap to me is less than $50 a wheel.
Rotas are about twice the price that I paid for my everyday wheels.
I know they make 16 x 7 steelies I just dont know where to find them.

I can buy 15 x 7 right now at www.tires.com.

Which size would be better for autocross?

Alright...for those that haven't been in a snow storm with the MSP tires, it really sucks ass!! In February, it took me over 8 hours to drive 19 nerve racking miles, and every slight incline took about 3000 miles off my engine (running 4000 rpm in 3rd gear to crawl at ~ 2 mph). Unfortunately, I got pelted several times by passing salt trucks! Sounds like a damn machine gun (ouch, my new paint!).

Anyway, I was wondering, if I went to the junk yard, would some older protege steel rims fit the MSP? I'd like to go steel, just because junk yards will try to **** me if I go to buy alloys. Plus, as others mentioned, money is REALLY tight. Is 5x144 the right size? Let me know what you think....thanks.

*EDIT*sorry...I posted this in the wrong thread...

If you're racing with them .. go wider than 7" even. Go for a 7.5' at least and then you will really be able to support the tires.

If you go for 15's and put a 225 tire on them you will really be able to use at least a 7.5" and preferably a 8" wide rim. Same with 16's actually. Get 16x7.5 for those 215/40 tires.

You can probably find a local shop that will have you a set of steel wheels made custom .. probably even for under your $50/per magic number.

As far as junkyard's go, find a set of 626 wheels/rims with the 5 lug pattern. I believe those will fit.
