not to mention spelling..(lol2)
Spelling corrected lol. My bad.
not to mention spelling..(lol2)
I do too much and make too little.
Wow... where to start!
6 figures really isn't as much as you think... at least, not where I live. Here in CT, the avg house (2k sq ft, nice neighborhood, etc) costs about $400k... If you're the sole bread winner like me and are responsible for supporting a family, paying 2 car payments, the mortgage and all the other BS that comes with it... a low six figure income will just about cut it.
All of a sudden, spending frivolously on a fancy german car to impress your (business company) and gain (presence) lol ... suddenly that sort of crap takes a back seat. Because most of the others you work with are in similar situations, nobody really cares. In fact, if you were to walk through my parking lot at work you'd see nothing but avg cars... accords, camrys, etc. meanwhile, most of their owners earn well into the 6 figure range. They're called priorities. Now... if I'm a single guy sharing an apt with someone or still living at home... yeah, I'm probably going to go overboard on my car (as most guys in those situations tend to do) Last time I checked though... cars (unlike most houses) depreciate rather heavily in value... So, even if you are in the so-called "wealthy enough" category, you're obviously better off driving a high bang for the buck car (like a mazda) and putting the money you would have spent towards an overpriced, unreliable german car into some investments or home-improvements... Read 'Rich Dad/Poor Dad' if you haven't already. Enlightening stuff
6figures is enough for a Single man/woman or family up to four. I don't know what the annual income debt to ratio is over there but I live in "Cali". That should answer your response. Prices here ain't cheap either.
Anyone knows that its not about car's and other flashing what your all about and other bunch of bs. But when working for those high end business company's makin close or more than 6figures a year. Yet people who work in the business company industry tend to drive more of a middle class Acura/Honda/Infiniti to upwards towards somewhere in the basic low BMW/Mercedes presence.
Has nothing to do with priorities Not that its not important, because it is and that's what comes first. Everyone knows that. What I'm getting at is if your making close to 6figures or more a year. Most likely its important to represent yourself and your company.
I see Receptionist for Orthodontists driving low end Mercedes, Maxima's etccc..
More of an better example. For instance is it professional to go to work in the morning not taking a shower, brushing your teeth, dressing pretty descent smelling good. "NO its not". Everyone knows that its a priority to do and its being responsible and having a little bit of class, Im sure everyone does this in the morning.
Now what I'm relying at is that it's not important to Go out and spend 40K on a car just to floss around that you have money and blah..blah..blah.
... I'm sorry if your the only one in your family making close to 6six figures and have trouble budgeting your money. That's your own problem!!
Making close to 100,000 a year is a monthly income of 8300-8500 a month.
If you can't survive off that monthly and are living paycheck to paycheck, your not being RESPONSIBLE!!
I was thinking the same thing but I wanted to keep it to myself...Im a SGT E-5 and to be making 50 g's plus is crazy for lower enlisted, not even CPT's make that in a year...But who knows, im not gunna argue but good point
I'm being honest....i'm a broke ass![]()
hahahh..I'm not trying to start a fight but this is just insanity!!
Obviously whether or not 6 figures is "enough" for a "family of 4" is subjective... so I won't touch that one... yet.
As far as your "I live in Cali so I feel your pain" quite is absurd. California is what... the 3rd largest state??? Simply saying you live in Cali doesn't even come close to validating the notion that you live in an expensive area.
Now just to be clear... I'm not saying you don't. I'm simply saying you should have been more specific. Beverly Hills is a bit more pricey than Compton.
So it has nothing to do with priorities... even though that's what comes first (and everyone knows that). I do agree it's important to 'represent' your company with a positive image. But let's get something straight here. We're not talking about driving a Yugo or Rice mobile... you're not going to be thrown out of the board meeting because you drove into the parking lot in a Honda Accord.
LOL Dude... you're killin me here!! haha So you're saying pulling up in a late model Accord (as an example) is the equivalent of not showering, shaving, brushing one's teeth... basically, looking like a complete bum! lmfao You can't be serious... can you?
Who said I have trouble budgeting my money? The fact of the matter is, by driving relatively inexpensive cars (we have an Element and my MSP) we're able to make ends meet just fine. According to you, however, I should be driving around in a pimped out Beemer or something! Something tells me an extra $400+/month might make things a bit more difficult.
Hopefully I made my point.
LOL wow... alright dude. you're obviously in way over your head here so I'm just gonna let this one die. take care
LOL at you 2 putting words into my mouth!! I never said cali was the most expensive place to live. Have a good day kids(confused)
