Those who have iPhones, where do you put/mount them? i have a 3G and i use it to listen to my music. I usually put it in my cup holder but is there any good place or some cig lighter mounter or some item to make it more accessible?

thanks

I purchased an "iGrip". Its a mount that holds your iPhone onto your AC vent. It mounts nice and allows secure and easy access. Just google iGrip and you will find it.

If you don't have a lot of coins or don't smoke, it slides right into the ashtray nicely... The little empty coin pocket next to the shifter works well too, but that's where I keep my sunglasses. (If I keep them in the sunglasses holder under the DSC buttons they slide out whenever I boost haha).

I just always use my rearmost cupholder. It works out since it's in close proximity to the AUX plug in the arm rest.

I usually rest mine sideways in the coin holder thing to the right of the shift knob. I'd be interested in a good dash mount/charger if anyone has any suggestions. I usually stream Pandora and easier access and better visibility would be nice.

There's a great site with dozens of different mounts for various electronic goodies. And honest to gawd, it's called mountguys.com. I got a mount for my Garmin Nuvi that bolts to the passenger's seat, left front floor bolt. It has a bendable steel gooseneck (like electrical conduit) painted black, that stands 12-16" with a swappable mounting bracket on the end. Keeps my Garmin in a spot not far from where a cig lighter mount would, but leaves the cig lighter free to use as a 12v source, as intended. Doesn't block any vents, doesn't require any drilling, and it's good & stable.

Oh, and if you take the time to bend the conduit properly, you can keep it against the center dash, and out of the way of passengers' legs. No problemo.

$20, and they have one just like it for the iPhone/iPhone 3G, as well as most popular phones & GPS units.

I'm using the KUDAUSA iphone mount. The wire connects to the back of my Cardavanced radio.

I use an older version of this: http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/tuneflex-aux-with-smartclick

I had to use a rubber o-ring from HD to keep it from rotating in the socket though. The fishing line was a temporary fix, the o-ring works great. Also ignore the crapping looking holder for the phone. The old version wasn't made for the iPhone, so I had to dremel out part of the holder. They actually sent me a new adapter for the 3g iPhone for free though, so it looks good now. The neck is metal reinforced, so you can position it pretty much however you want. It charges and has an aux-out on the base that you can run to the cars aux-in for music playin. The only thing is that it doesn't integrate hands-free for calls, so you pretty much have to answer the phone normally. The holder blocks the speaker and mic.

Other than that, just drop the phone in the holder, a little push to seat it on the charger and off ya go.

I think if I were shopping now, I'd go with this though. It looks like some more work to connect when you get in the car, but it has hands-free for answering if you get a call, and routes the call through the speakers.

Phone goes in the slot next to the shifter, iPod goes in the cupholder with the garage door opener, and sunglasses go in the top compartment of the center console.

Phone has been known to become a dangerous projectile during corners.

I used a LiquidAux Deluxe

But it drove me crazy becasue the gooseneck wasn't stiff enough. I moved to a Kensintong LiquidAUX, which works perfectly with the armrest 12volt outlet and aux in. I ran the iPod connector up though the passthru and into the top portion of the armrest. Works well and is out of site.

I also use an LG BT Speakerphone that mounts to my windshield and recharges via solar power.
