Where do you find your "paint" production number?

I've noticed a few members that have their "paint" production numbers on their profile. Any Idea where to find that out? I've done some searching and have come up dry.

I did find a thread some time ago that mentioned they produced all the yellows first, then the titaniums, ect ect.

But I'm not convinced thats right. One of the Paint production numbers I saw for a yellow was on a 900 and sumpthin production number.

I'd appreciate the input if anyone knows!

I did the math seeing as there are only 2 colors of 03 the first bunch were black second Spicy orange, and did the calculations according to my vin. That's how I know what number of the spicy's I am. Anyway I'm not sure what order they did the 03.5s in. But I'm sure you'll be able to figure that out.

Ya I tried that once. My production number is 26. They made 500 Yellow. So, I figured 26/500 for yellow.

According to another post I found, (Wish I could find it again), stated that they did all the yellow's first then the titanium ect.

But I have noticed from time to time people posted numbers that don't fit. The one in my mind was like (completely guessing) Production number 937? again completely guessing... and yellow #375 of 500? The numbers didn't coincide.

If I called mazda and gave them my vin any idea if they could tell me?

I found this about a month ago. I know its newer? since the Mazda websight never had this before.

NOTE: It says "we don't track production #s, but then at the bottom it shows a PDF of production #s LOL.

ALSO NOTE: there is other info that is wrong LOL, Mazda doen't really care to get the facts str8 on a car that is no longer in production...

i honestly dont think you can really find out what number you are in the paint line we have to many made in the 03.5 and no one really know what was painted when, its pretty much a lost cause just be happy you know your acutally production number you know

theres only 25 cars made ahead of mine maybee I can find out from other members below my number what colour their cars are and put 2 n 2 together. There are only like three or four listed though.

Here's what you do...Check a bunch of post most of us either post a pic in our sig, tell you what color we have in our sig or it's in our screen name. Most of us also have what production number we are are you can go through the last posting on the registry and figure out what colors cam in what order. We know how many of each was made. Just go down the list and see what the order is and do the math, I wasn't sure if they had 2 lines going at the factory or if they shot one then the other or some type of alternating thing so I actually went through and actually did it myself which I documented here.

LOL thats what I actually started doing a few minuites ago. I was hoping to find everyone ahead of me was all yellow and make my life a little simpler...... instead they all seem to be titanium but one. Of thoes i've been able to track so far.

They definatly did all the Titaniums and yellows and then the blues and silvers. But there aren't enough members listed before me to figure out the numbers. It appears they kinda did them at random. I expected to find the colours in lots of ten or twenty but instead they are intermingled........ Bummer(dunno)

for 2003.5 the yellow and titanium were mixed so you can not do it, I'm thinking.

BUT for the silver and blue its easy math. 2251-2750 were ALL blue and before that 1751-2250 were ALL silver.

I was thinking the same thing about the 03's but I turned out to be wrong. They did all the blacks then all the spicy's. I don't see why they would have changed that method for 2 colors then gone back the original way.
