why not make your own 96octane??

1 gallon of 100% Touolene mixed with 6 gallons of 92octane makes about 7 gallons of 96 octane....enjoy.

I am not too familiar with the north phoenix/scottsdale area, but I know i've seen a 76 station out around 56th st and cactus/bell that had I think 100+ octane race fuel. (omg)

yeah i cant afford to fill up on racing fuel though i need to stick to the 93 range so i can offord gas. last timei put 100 octane in my car it was 5 bucks a gallon and in new mexico i saw 93 for 1.78 so i can live with that but i have to find it hear.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that Arizona's 91 was pretty much the same as every place else's 93.

Whaa? 93 octane is 93 octane. 91 octane is 91 octane. It's an official rating. That's like saying "Arizona's 120degree Ferenheit days are like everyone elses's 95 degree ferenheit days". Uh, no, :P

My bad. Misimformation will get you everytime. Well couldn't you always use some octaine booster?

yeah i can use octane booster but i dont want to resort to that all of the time because it can get expensive i want to get a 55 gallon barrell of toluene a local paint shop syas that they will do that for me for like 150 bucks and that will last a long time.

yea, it will be hard to find a place with 93 octane. 56th and bell 76 station sells higher octane gas. I used to buy it for my go kart, I'll see if I can't get an updated list. The old Giant stations used to sell 94 octane.

The one place I know of is in Ahwatukke at a texaco off of Chandler and 44th street. It's owned by Saad Saad (has a 9 or 10 second supra) and it offers 104 Octane for $3.99 a gallon.

I usually fill up half with that and half with 91. Still pricey though.

104 that is safe for the cats, hell yeah.

The only high octane fuel that I know of in the Prescott area is avgas at the airport.

Its 100 something (110 I think) but it is leaded and will kill your cats and O2 sensers.

I have run it in my 66 Mustang and it was awesome.

Lol I thought I would reply to this old thread. I'm googling around to find 93 octane and stumbled upon this. It's funny to see how prices have changed over the years, granted we are finally under $2.00 a gallon again, but still for a while we were almost at $5 a gallon.

So since i'm searching, does anyone know of any other stations that have 93 oct? I used to live next to the station in Ahwatukee on 44th st and Chandler, but that is now a "The Zone" gas station and they still carry race fuel 105oct at $7.99 a gallon as of Friday last week. I wish it was still $3.99 hehe
