When to replace FL22 Coolant

Got a question about coolant. A friend of mine has a Mazda 3 and Mazda is telling her that it needs to be flushed. Her car is a normal 2008 Mazda 3, 40K miles, nothing modded or special about it.

- Do the 2008 Mazda 3's have FL22?
- The MazdaUSA site says coolant needs to be replaced at 60,000 or 4 years if she doesn't have FL22. The dealer wants to do it because they say it needs to be done at 45K. I think this is BS and a sales tactic, but I want to make sure I'm not leading her astray.

Thanks in advance.

Just look in the owners manual and it will tell you the type of fluid and when it should be changed and at what service level.

I have a 2008 and it has FL22, owners manual recommends changing at 120,000 miles,
or 10 years. later changes are 60,000 miles or 5 years.
