Most engines are purposely designed to handle at least 10-20% more hp than they come with from the factory. It's a simple liability precaution. If the engineers say it can handle 300 hp, they de-tune it to 250 or so to make sure they don't see thousands of warranty claims and lawsuits for completely stock blown engines. So yeah, until you add significant hp, forged internals are overkill, and a waste of money.
As for fuel pumps, until you start adding a lot more air to your mix, either thru overboosting the stock turbo or bolting on something beefier, the stocker ought to be OK. (Unless there is a deficiency in the stock unit that I am not yet privy to) And I have heard all sorts of stories of blowing turbo seals, even on bone stock MS3's, so overboosting the stocker seems like adding a bullet or two to the chambers before playing Russian roulette.
