When i start my car AT flashes what is that?

i dont have a manual for the car and cant figuire out what that means..

I think it just means you have an Auto Transmission... I have an automatic and my AT light comes on and then turns off when I start my P5 too.

It doesn't flash, it comes on with key then goes off after starting. Flashing is indication of problem, overdrive issue IIRC. Is it regular auto with OD button or is it sport auto slapstick?

Also could be nasty oil/strainer. Does it have enough atf in it? Is it slipping or acting normal while driving? Check it out....
