when do u believe the cars will come?

nov 15?

nov 22nd?

x-mas?? :D

released with the 2003.5??? :D :D

or whenever you see it..is when u believe it?

for me...it's the last...whenever i see it. corporate hookup tells me one thing..dealers been promising for a month now...etc...

so reguardless of speculation/rumors..when do YOU think they'll hit the showroom???

I drove past the Mazda dealership in Salt Lake the other day, and I could see the MSP sitting on the showroom floor... sort of. I could see the Protege shape underneath a car cover and then I recognized the MSP wheels. It's nice to see that the car is out there! I couldn't tell what color it was, and I didn't have time to stop for a closer look, but I'll be sure to drive by tomorrow when I have the time!

Chris

please do take a closer look

these dummies have been on showroom floors for a while, regular proteges with a big wing under a blanket, but if you recognized the msp wheels then it may be for real!

i believe.........this coming week they will begin arriving.

my magic 8ball said so.

I doubt it was a MSP. My local dealer did the same thing, it was just an ES under the cover.

No, but I still seriously doubt it was an MSP. Not saying your lying or anything, but look at it this way. If it's a MSP it's most likely sold to someone already, so why cover it up and keep it there. Also if it's a MSP they'll want to show it off to try to sell any more they have.

I drove by yesterday; It had the MSP Racing Hart wheels, it was black and it was a Protege. I don't remember now if the side skirts were there or not... so I guess it could just be a Protege with MSP wheels. I'll go tomorrow and look when the dealership is open. I just checked www.mazdausa.com, and the dealership is authorized for Mazdaspeed. I'll find out tomorrow for sure about the car.

Don't worry about being skeptical on me; I know we've all been waiting for a long time. Sitting on the edge for so long is bound to cause some frustration!

the mazda dealership by me did the same damn thing. I asked the new car manager if it was a MSP, and he said "Believe me, if it was a MSP, it would not be covered up."

so ya 100% sure if you see one covered, it's :bs:

there isnt even anything covered up at my dealership. lol.

im just waiting for mazda to say, oh well release them with the 2003.5 HAR HAR HAR

With all the carp going on....I personally wouldn't believe it till I personally saw it sitting on the floor in person.

Hey, first post. Im sure that you all have got the same info that i got from my sales lady. hse had originally said that they would be here in late oct early nov, but now she says that on of her sales people heard nov 22. She is at a mazda conference and will be back wed i will talk to her then. I just hope it comes before ihave to turn in my p.o.s chevy s-10

Only the President and executive brass at Mazda know. Us? we call and we call and we call and we visit and we call and we call, etc.

never, I think it was all marketing hype for the 2003.5's. If I don't have mine in two weeks, I give up.

i'm in the same boat..prolly just pay off my civic..owe 2800 and it's a 2000 so it's not that old...i'm giving 1.5 weeks to 2 and then calling it quits on this car

Have you guys/(girls?) put down any $'s yet? I just have a hard time to belive that they (mazda) would invest all this money in advertizing in various mags and putting all the time into the website, and sending out cars to mags for tests if they never intended to release it. My sales lady says that they were awaiting a part to be replaced, and that they are in the states. I dont know much about much but that is my take.

Nobody really thinks the MSPs won't materialize. I have a deposit down and should have mine as soon as it shows up.

I forgot to mention earlier that my dealer told me that it would be ten days to two weeks more, he got that from his mazda rep. He then went on to tell me that the reason for the delay is the turbo ducting(we all know this), and that they are working on resolving this and as of now the have 5 of them completed with the correct turbo ducting. The five being ones for the midwest. I almost broke out laughing when he said five. I will s*** my pants if the car is here in two weeks.

I just got off the phone with my sales lady, good and bad news, the good is mostly for me i am now first in line when the cars arrive as the man in front of me got tired of only having one car, and the bad is she is the dumbest sales person ever. she has no clue what the hell is going on with the cars, or when they will be in.

I just got off the phone with Mazda Canada .... I was speaking to Richard who is their Director of Customer Service (I wish such a thing existed there). Here is Mazda Canada's official stance on the subject of msp's ....

They have always said the msp's will be here in the fall of 2002, but he then reminded me that it is fall until Decmber 21st:bs:

He says that they will be here "November or December"

He says that Mazda will not confirm the delay has anything to do with parts .... that Mazda uses many suppliers and if Mazda has a supplier problem customers should deal with Mazda not the supplier

I reminded him of how angry clients were getting and anxious because winter was coming and we would need tires .... he said he didn't think this car should be driven in winter because it is a collectors car and if it was his he would have it towed to his garage and put up on blocks:wtf:
I pointed out that it couldn't be that much of a collectors car with the 2003.5 coming out now and he said ..... "yes, but they won't be orange, so the first 250 will be collectors cars"(argh)

He said dealers are giving them a lot of heat because the dealers are getting heat from the customers .... but any dealer that gives a date is talking through their hat as Mazda Canada have given no delivery estimates to the dealers.

I told him if they kept the public informed instead of hiding under a blanket of silence, people would at least be a little understanding ..... no, that apparently would lead to too much bad press about their problems with the car. If the cars are ready, we'll be told ... if they won't be here by "fall'02" we'll be told .... other then that, they have no comment.
I also pointed out that they were losing fed-up customers to wrx's and specs every day, and he just had to go to the internet to find out .... he says he would "pass that on to marketing".

This was Mazda Canada's take .... the US branch may say different, but it certainly darkened my day. Anybody want Mazda Canada's phone number?????????(pissed)
