now that the cold weather is arriving, when are you planning to install winter tires?

::tries to get Poll function working::

i got all season tires this time around so i am just gonna wing it with these lol. if it snows i dont drive lol.

End of October/beginning of November, depending on when I have time.

Summers go back on at the end of March/beginning of April.

I'm planning on buying/installing them sometime in November. I'm waiting for a good deal too, which I hope to pop up sometime between Halloween and Thanksgiving :)

I'm hoping I don't have to. It does snow here (rarely) and get below 40, but I'm not sure much of a need I'll have for winter tires. I guess we'll see how it goes.

Anyone else in Atlanta that thinks there's a need for winter or all season tires?

i do it at the end of oct beginning of nov. as soon as they start calling for snow :( which is earlier and earlier it seems

I will be moving to the Ft. Meade area of Maryland, and I am trying to figure out whether I need snows, or just all seasons. Part of the problem though, is that I like to go snowboarding... Any suggestions?
Jay

I hope I didn't thread-jack...here in Prescott, I wait until the first snow...

all seasons are all riggght. but i defin would invest in some snows. night and day difference between the two

didnt have to drive the speed in the snow last year, so i dont know how fickle it will be, but i have never had a problem in the snow in FWDs before, so i'll pass. i put all seasons on when i had to dump the stockers, so i'll take my chances with them.

Hrm... I voted November and it will probably be lateish November. I won't put 'em on untill a decent amount of snow is in the forcast.

Snow will be arriving within two or three weeks so tires will be going on shortly. I drive my B4000 in the winter and use the MS3 as backup in the winter but both still get snow tires.

just bought a set of blizzaks + cheapo rims the other day. due to no room for storage my room now smells like a garage...

i'm planning on putting them on around thanksgiving.

what is a B4000??

sounds cool.

You are correct sir. With a few sand bags and winter tires, it does pretty well in the snow. Was driving through 3 feet of snow in a ditch last year and didn't get hung up :)

LM-25's

Will be mounting the snow shoes in late Oct early Nov. Whenever temps warrant it. Usually when the low 40's are the norm and snow could fly.
