2017~2025 2017 CX5 - over revving to 4100 RPMs

Hello everyone

We've just purchased a used 2017 CX5, GT with relatively low mileage (around +/- 120, 000 km's or 75,000 miles ).

Since I normally drive manual gearboxes (my 2017 Mazda6 GT has a 6 spd manual), I am not used to automatics especially in moderate to heavier accerlations. I've driven 2,700+ km's on it so far (mostly highway) and found out that the CX5 sometimes revs up to around 4100 RPM's and held it for several seconds without upshifting even during moderate accerlation around 80 km/hr (50 mph). It does not always occur on a hill or anything. Is this normal? The car was not loaded nor heavy... I do notice it wants to work hard at 3000-4000 RPM's at cruise control when it felt it needed to do what it took to keep the exact same speed.

(I also notice that I could feel the shifts noticeably when it would downshift from 4000-2500, for example).

Thanks for any insight.
