Wheel size?

I know this has probably been addressed before, but I didn't have any luck searching for it. I wanted to get 18 inchers on my PR5, but someone told me that I wouldn't be able to go that big without going the lowest profile tires and even then they might rub? I don't want to go the very lowest profile tires because mine is a daily driver and I don't want to sacrifice all of my ride. I want to get slightly lower than stock. Can I do that with 18's without rubbing?

Thanks Alex. Forgive me if I'm a little naive. I'm new to tire sizing. So if I go the 215/35/18 is that the lowest profile tire? And I understand then from that that there would be no rubbing? Just clarifying

that is about the lowest 18 i have ever heard of. there is probably some company out there making a 215/30/18 but i havent seen one yet and im in the tire business.

So if I don't want to sacrifice my ride very much then I need to go with 17's? At least they're cheaper.

17s will ride better but not much, go with 18s for the size. i cna hook you up with a couple of different styles that arent much more than 17s
