Wheel rub?

2010 Mazda3
Alright, so I'm going to be getting Kazera KZ-Y 18" rims with 215/45ZR18 Goodyear Eagle GT and I'm also planning on lowering it when the Eibach springs for the 2010 Mazda3 come out.

Anyway, what I wanted to know is if the 215's are going to rub badly when it's lowered. If it's going to rub then I guess I'd downgrade to 17" rims and run 205's to avoid rub.

If this is the wrong forum, I apologize.

'lowering' a car doesn't mean slamming it to the ground. installing Eibach springs, for example, can lower a car 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. that sounds like nothing but it's quite noticeable.

anyways...your best bet is to ask either the place you're getting your suspension or where you're buying your tires from. you'll need to know exactly how much lower the car will be.

Yeah, I can't slam it, it's way too bumpy around Atlanta and there's speed bumps I have to go over every day (the ones at my school are a b**** already...) so really dropping it is not an option.

I just want an Eibach lowering kit to stiffen the springs up a bit, lower it some, and get the center of gravity a little lower so it handles better in the turns.

The problem is that I'm going to be getting the tires through TireRack, so they can't really tell me what is going to work and what isn't. I can probably talk to whatever mechanic is going to install the springs about it though, so whatever.

Just checking now if anyone has firsthand experience and can tell me before I'm out a bunch of money :)
