First post to the forum, but I have been lurking around for a few months.
I bought my '03 Protege5 back in January and totally love it! The only problem is a few rust bubbles on the rear fenders
Anyway, It came with snow tires mounted to the stock wheels. Now that spring is here, I want to get the tires swapped out so I can save the winter tires for next year and get better performance in the summer. I'm a bit strapped for cash right now so I'm looking for options. I found these http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/2285400821.html locally. What are they off of and will they work on a Protege? I understand the overall diameter will be larger, but will they fit? Is the offset different? Could I run them for a while until I can get 205/40r17's on them?
I'm basically just looking for ideas. I want to buy new 17" rims and tires for summer and keep my stock wheels w/ snow tires for the winter, but that isn't in the budget right now. What do I do?
