wheel fitment thread

Thanks...ran my last autox of the year sunday without them...seemed to line up just fine when tightening up the lugs the way youre supposed to..so I guess im good until the spring. Those 35 offset on 7" rims I have really stick out and its good for autox but I wouldnt want to run that as my daily as im sure id have a ton of chips on the side of the car with those tires throwing debris.

I run my Team Dynamics (15x7 40 offset) without rings. I have found centering rings useless. I always run in the lugs by hand while tapping the tire with my palm to remove any slack. I do this in star pattern. Then I grab my torque wrench and continue in 3 rotations to bring them up to spec 30, 60, final ft.lbs.

Plastic centering rings melt during track days, aluminum ones corrode and stick to steel Disc or Drum parts.

I dont know where else to put this... If you order front studs from the dealer, they are incorrect. I ordered one, and also one for a 91 miata (front). Much to my surprise, they were identical. But had different part numbers. I ordered front ARP studs for a miata. When I had time I popped out a stud... totally wrong size!! OEM 2 front stud at the serrated diameter was .572". The stud the dealer ordered was .506". This won't work at all!

Correct stud from ARP is for the REAR of a 1.8L miata (the 1.6L uses the same smaller stud front/rear).

2.75" long, .579" diameter....

I don't know what the rear stud replacement would be because I only needed to do fronts to fit a 9" 6UL with spacer to clear the strut (need .25"). With OEM stud you get 6 turns, you really need 8 to be safe (diameter of stud divided by thread pitch: 12/1.5=8)
