What the heck is a tuning run? (eyeballs)

I believe he has a aftermarket ECU or piggyback and does street tuning on it. Most people start their tuning off as pig rich and then fine tune it in which woudl explain the pis poor gas milage.

Any mods? All i got is a MSP axel back, Injen CAI with crap filter, Short shifter and lowered 2 inches. almost 80k on the clock.

What gas do you use? I only use shell and ultramar for the most part. Irving and petro suck for millage for me. Hitting 300km +-15 at the half way mark.

No mods..the car is totally stock (with a noisy suspension right now) - not even 70,000km yet.

I do use Petro Can regularly, and like I said, it has all been city and short little trips, but still...

300km at half? Is that highway or some highway in there? I notice that even if I get good mileage according to the needle the first half, the second half just disappears in no time....

You have a '02 or '03?

I had some transmission work under warranty. Hopefully that didn't do anything. I have a K&N filter (recently cleaned) and new NGK long reach plugs put in the summer.

I might as well be driving something like an Xterra - it would give me the same mileage

Try ultramar or shell for a few tanks. Noisy suspension is probably due to endlink's (replaced all of mine). What work did you have done? I have an 02. 60% city 40% highway. I drive from main street dartmouth (the far end) to bayers lake every day.

Yeah, I have clunking now (front and back) going over bumps.

That's a long commute. I live literally a 10 second WALK from my work , so the car is mainly used for personal reasons, like I said, alot of small trips in the city.

But I will try Ultramar. I'll do anything at this point.

Oh and i don't use long reach plugs, just the standard ones and regular gas. Long reach alter the static ignition timing and the car will ping and pull timing if your not on supreme. And you know all gas sucks here in the winter time due to the winter gas s*** they feed us.

I know what will fix your mileage issue! Buy my turbo kit LOL

well, last tank of gas got me 18.4mpg!!!! I went 313 km on 40 litres!
This is HORSES**T!!!!!!

I have a manual 02 and do not drive it hard....most of it was city (75/25), but come on....This is starting to piss me off. THe tire pressure is ok, there doesn't seem to be a major pull so it probably isn't a caliper.

Side note, the ethnol in our gas has just be at least doubled because I have seen a large drop in millage on my neon and my friends crv, mazda 3 and acura el.

I've gotten 312 miles on one tank. That's the best ever, but usually it's around 270 miles. I drive it like it's stolen though. That 312 was with a bottle of Gumout in the tank, I wonder if that made any difference.

I know something is messed up, but I have no idea what. I am not getting any CELs or anything. I guess I could get someone to look it over, but I think that would just be throwing money away if no lights are coming on?

i just got over 625 on a tank...all highway...

CEL is on, a slight vibration in steering wheel I think from front left wheel, dont know why yet (there is a fairly new control arm installed, wheel bearing and a brand new suspension) still trying to figure out what that wobble could be!)

Only thing I have is the cold air intake going down into the wheel well and thats it. No synthetic oil, no crazy plugs...and I just use regular 87 octane gas.
