What's up with Cobb's product availability?

I love Cobb. I think they make quality products based on lots of good R&D.

But what is up with Cobb's product availability for the MS3? I understand the circumstances with their SRI, but it seems like you can't find their FMIC or shifter weight in stock anywhere. These products just came out, what's up with that!

I just hope the rumor of Cobb controlling supply to create product hype isn't true! Because that's an excellent way to loose customers.

I don't know about controlling supply but hey it worked for Nintendo, 2 years in and you still can't find the damn Wii in stock anywhere lol.

they have to be controlling supply there a huge company they could get things out in a hurry if they needed great marketing strat imo.

Either that, or they're more interested in their other products? They have a new facility they're building in Texas though! Woohoo...

idk i watched an interview with the ceo and he seemed really partial to the ms3's/ ms36's

They have to be controlling stock, I went down to thier shop about a month ago and saw that they have a SRI for speed 3 in a glass case. I asked if I could have that one and they said no =(

This has to be the stupidest thing a company could do, if it is on purpose to create interest/hype. I personally will move on to a competitor or get so pissed off to never do business with them again. I can understand a 1-2 week backorder, but 6 months?! Give me a break! I could make one in that time with no fabrication skills. I had thought about getting a SRI if my dealer was on board, but after reading all the threads on the backorders, I say **** it. To use the Wii as an example also, the Wii Fit was so ridiculously impossible to get, i just lost interest. It was going to be a gift, but like I say, I will spend my money elsewhere if they cannot produce enough units. I hope people from Cobb read this and get the picture, that they are just pissing people off.

I don't think cobb writes on here, where as I've made plenty of blunt comments to them on the other forum. I don't understand it either man, I really don't.

The good thing is that for most parts, there are other options aside from COBB. Don't want to wait? Don't have to.

Yup. Competition makes competitors stay true. No competition = complacency which = overpricing, bad workmanship/service/products.
