Whats normal?

Is it normal that in the first 1500 miles or so you haven't seen the gas mileage youd expect? I have driven very conservatively to see what I can get and so far I am averaging exactly 24 according to the trip computer. Does that sound about right considering probably half is highway, half is city?

sounds about right to me. i got around 32mpg ALL highway driving 70mph.
i normally get anywhere between 22-25mpg avg.

wait until it is totally broken in. Things are still really tight in that motor.

Computer is notoriously wrong, apparently. My SP3 got between 28 and 30 mpg on a weekend trip. Passed the 2,000 mile mark while on the trip. Yep, mileage will improve with some age on the motor.
