this was the passenger side and front Medieval motor mounts. I only had them installed for 1 year. I really dont know what happened to the front mount, but the passenger side mount might have been faulted by my mechanic. anyways still funny. ha ha.

the passenger side broke because its a faulty design. see how its cocked to the motor? shouldn't be that way, and from what i understand, they are designed wrong and ONLY mount like that. compare that side mount to AWR's version.

for the front mount, looks like the bushing was over stressed and finally said "that's enough".

thanks for the info. both have been replaced with SU alum MM. no problems on install.

Wow, I need to take a look at my mounts as well. Good post.

I have had mine for 2 1/2 years, hopefully they are still intact, (even though they were pink) I sanded them down and repainted. lol

i think thats just the cause of rust or not taking care of them!

and... how do you take care of a motor mount?

clean them lol

take care of mounts? looks like its a case of bad design that caused them to wear out/break way to quickly. Hope you have better luck with your SU mounts, i know my passenger side had to have a visit with a CNC machine to make it fit properly in the car..

this is the only passenger side mount i would consider using:

even compared to the street unit mount, the AWR looks like it would take much more abuse.

here is the street unit mount:

notice the tab? the AWR has a reinforced mounting tab. it doesn't look to me like its going to be breaking off too easily.

different materials, different pros and cons. the AWR does have the tab but it is also a welded mount, the SU is one piece billet they both work better then stock.

sorry, i was talking about the 2-hole tab that actually mounts to the engine. the AWR is reinforced, whereas the street unit and the medieval mounts are not. also, the stock piece is a heavy casting.

The bushings will wear-out like that. It is a wearing item and it should be scheduled by you for inspection and replacement. If you get 12 months out of it you are doing good. The steel, however, should not do that. Stick with AWR!
