i didnt know where to put this thread... but i need your thoughts. i know some will say this and some will say that but here goes...

im gonna have $2500 for the car soon and ive been debating...

option a- one of the 3 accolade kits (probably DTM)

option b- the erebuni kit #942(?): also sold as ED K1
- and wheels

option c- -erebuni kit
-and some performance parts to get me started (NA)

option d- -wheels
-and the parts (like intake, etc.)

option e- -a big heaping pile of NA parts (that would mean basically the inhale/ exhale: intake, headers, exhaust)
(boom07)

wheels
springs
n/a parts
new grill

go with that^^ cuase i ummm well thats what i would do!!! hehehe...

you know thats actually not half bad? hmm... a thought....

wheels+tires=1400
springs=200
cai=200
exhaust=550
grill=200+install?? leaves you a bit in the hole, but the wheel+tire thing could be cheaper then i said by far....

im not going to join the turbo darkside so that rules out the turbo and saving it... a lot of people seem to be leaning towards suspension and the grille... something to think about...

the main thing that has me torn is my personal usage situation:
will i be hitting the track? someday.
tomorrow? definatly not.
do i LOVE the body kit and wheels idea? absolutly (im an artist so dont yell at me)
but do i wanna start my modding carreer as all show no go? not so sure...

everything WILL be done- i WILL have someday, an sexy 300 horse NA beast, its just a matter of what sequence i go in...

i hope my two cents helps you contribute yours...

i guarentee that if you spend a ton of money on your car, someday you will feel like a major ass. i personally would just do tires & suspension

while i understand the motivation behind that comment (and it is valid) you have to understand that i love the 3... really

...especially because i drove a dooker for 7 years before this past may and all i want in life (in the material end anyway) is a project car based on something i already love.

so while i appreciate the input and by all means keep it comin, i have to respectfully decline your advice

(all a diplomatic way of saying no thanks bub)
did i just make myself the drama queen of the forum? (blowjob)

dude if i were you i would go with the wheels and tires. they just add the most personalization for the buck (that should satisfy your artistic persona). I know that after i put my wheels on i just feel 20 times more in love with my 3.
With the leftover money (i would quote the package for 1250) i would go with some springs (too much gap with 18" wheels) and thats 225 more. A CAI its another 225. You have 750 left. With that money you can get a nice cat-back exhaust, install it and dyno it.
Thats my take. i know thats the path i will be taking. I already got the wheels andi actually got drilled rotors and ebc pads before the other mods only because i was offered a sweet deal by a vendor here.
My 2 pesos.

yep. but if youre like me than you just go right back into doing the same farking thing.(cheers)

once again man i highly recommend the wheels as first. Do a quick search for packages and you will so be hooked on it. tirerack.com treated me very well and they have a nice visualization page, so you can see the wheels on your car. its pretty sweet. Also you can ask around for people to photoshop the wheels on your ride. After the wheels you have to do the springs though cause the gap is huge.
For the other stuff ask around here, the vendors are great and if you are buying a bunch of stuff they may hook you up with some good pricing. I have only experiences NSN Motorsports but i heard very good things about Ken at protegegarage.com

Good luck and let us know what you are doing. keep us posted.

tires & wheels=$900-1500
suspension mods=$700 ie: Front & rear lower tie brace, front strut brace, rear V brace, link reinforcement panel, trunk reinforcement brace.
springs=$150-200
cai=$150-200
exhaust=$400-600

so we have = $2300-3200
i'd say just save up some $$$ until then to increase what u will have by the time u get the other $$$, that way you can still cover install costs (if u don't DIY) taxes, and so u can get the nicer wheels!

don't waste money on a body-kit. buy the n/a engine parts. body kits = something you should only buy if you don't plan on driving your car. i personally wouldn't want to drive differently to save my 1400 dollar body kit from getting beat up.
