What to do with 3g's???

So I fill out my tax return stuff last night and it looks like I'll have over $3000 coming to me!!!! Now all I need is for some SMOG legal stuff to be released for our cars. Has anyone heard of companies getting parts approved through the CARB board yet?? dammit I want some freakin parts without having to take'em all of if I get pulled over!

Get the JDM spec FS-ZE engine or try and get a custom turbo. Thats what I would do, if I had $3000 and an MP3.

Having to take off a performance parts cause it isn't carb approved is not gonna happen. It is very easy to get a car inspected with it being smog legal, unless you live in CA hehe. I would spend that 3 G's on a turbo kit. Wait for a complete one to come out.

Yeah, live in San Diego so CARB approved is important (no custom turbo for me) So far what I was thinking is LSD, big brakes (either stoptech or maybe a custom project like I had on my old civic) and a cf hood.

I say sell your MP3 and put the $3K down on a car that will be able to turn 14 second 1/4 miles with little modification. Or you can spend the $3k on a turbo kit only to later realize that you'll barely be able to break into the 14's without having to spend another 2 grand or more. Hmmmm, what to do. IMHO, don't focus too much on power since we're all having a tough time extracting it from our motors. I say focus more on cosmetic aspect, example: coilovers to lower the car, lighter rims, CR Hood, Autoexe or Mintblue front lips, different seats, etc. Just my .$02 cents

Trade in your MP3 on a turbo 90-93 MR2 and get a blitz turbo and intercooler upgrade and run low 13's mid 12's all day long.
