What to do with $200 or Less

I know everyone here is always looking for the best bang for their buck and add look, performance, and handling at the cheapest price possible. Riddle me this........

How would you spend $200 (or less) on your Protege 5? And it can be anything, as long as it is for your P5.

200 isn't much to work with...

get some tweeters for your audio setup, get the head polished to brighten up the engine bay, get a gauge bezel ring thingie, and some pedals, or shifter...all this individually is under 200, if you put them together that buget is blown...probably not by much, but still

Edit:Or window tint if you can find it under $200.

you could go with a set of speakers, an intake, an axle back exhaust(the mazdaspeed one through mazda, but wont give you any hp, heh). ummmm, you can get sparkplug wires + spark plugs, you can get the m3 mirrors(unpainted), errr, i dunno, i guess thats it. i mean those arent great choices, buuuut whatever, gluck!

I saw and unorthodox racing underdrive pulley for sale for $185.00, you may get like 5-8HP

These are all good ideas......the Unorthodoz Underdrive pulley does sounds very temping. Got one questions about the pulley. Now by lightening one side of the engine (i.e. the pulley), does it make the engine/crankshaft unballanced?

A small 4 channel amp with speaker level inputs is around $200 retail. The Alpine MRP-F200 is a damn nice adition to any factory audio system.

springs right around $200...you would have to add in install and alignment, but you can save up for that later...

hey

you sound like a friend of mine...."i want this now....but only want to spend this"....i mean do you REALLY want to get say this and that now, and eventually replace them later with better ones? ie get cheapo springs and shocks now, have them wear out sooner then replace them later with a $1500 set? i have no problems with you wanting to spend $200 now (hell i do too), but try and save up and just get that little better item or something that gives more enjoyment....ie save another few hundred dollars and get the cams replaced

I think the best suggestion so far (assuming you have a manual) is the kartboy bushings and short shifter.

Depends what your after.........The tint will give you an instant appearence boost (Maybe add 5 hp too! - LOL!)
