What to do in Oahu?

Hey all you Hawaii peeps!

I'm gonna be heading out to Maui and Oahu in august, ala 2 weddings, and have a couple days off in between to do some touristy things..... thing is.. last time i was in hawaii i was alot younger and vaguely remember doin the pearl harbor and polynesian cultural center and the glass bottom boat tour (the last sorta being a waste of time as i remember lolz)

What's to do there? i need some ideas to supplement my online researching.

Theres alot of places to go hiking if you like the outdoorsy stuff. Theres Diamond Head, Makapuu lighthouse, and a bunch of trails on Tantalus.

One thing you could do is see the hood on my car in person...... Hahaha! Sup Niv! My car should be up and running strong by August. Maybe I will set up a cruise with Team PRO 5 when you are here if you have time. Don't feel obligated to hang out though.

As for things to do, if you're here late enough in the month you could catch Street Car Show-Off at Blaisdell. Oh and I've heard a rumor that there's a few other things to do on Oahu. Y'know boring stuff like swimming, surfing, snorkeling, hiking, blah, blah, blah. lol. J/P

not gonna be here? i'm dissapointed, lang. very very dissapointed. i have a feeling that i the wife and i go to hawaii and it's all romantic, she's gonna be pissed if i spend time looking at cars.. lolz

Women are funny like that. Trust me, I think my wife would definitely agree that there are far better things to do with weekends in Hawaii than working on my car.

But, if we do end up being here while you guys are in town we'll definitely have to meet up for dinner somewhere so I can pay you back for all of yor help.

not really .. spicy.... whatever is all good.

expect 2 pay 4 diamond head & hanauma bay. there's a lot you can do here. u may like koolina. tons of golf courses out here. have fun!

Ohh I just thought of a good place to eat. In Kahuku theres the shrimp shack! Awesome stuff. Plus while you're on that side you can check out Haleiwa.

i'm going to threadjack, niv, but i was looking at your sig and though that if you do a little change to your font, it couild be an ambigram (looks the same right sided up and upside down). maybe you've done it before, but i thought that would be cool.

hmm a nice drive to north shore to eat shave ice and/or cruise at the beaches will take up an entire day just wear lots of sun screen!

on oahu go take surfing lessons out waikiki. waves are up on the south side during the summer. if tide is high enough u can jump off that rock out waimea bay on the north shore side. there's all kinds of good food 2 eat here. there's a luau at paradise cove or germain's luau. go to dole cannery see the worlds largest maze (i'm not sure if it's still the largest) and eat up the pineapple. if the weather permits, enjoy our blue skies and breath taking sun sets/sunrises. def take a cruise around our islands. on maui there's haleakala sunrise, oheo gulch out hana u can jump off the cliffs into the waterfall, maui plantation, maui vineyards, snorkel out at molokini isle, etc. have fun! peace out.

go out to haleiwa and go on the shark cruise. they'll put you in this big ass cage, and then put bait in the water and you can see the load of sharks.
then, cruise on over to waianae lol. (help)

lol. I think swimming with the sharks would be safer. But, unless I am mistaken Niv would be safe in Waianae.
