I wish I had pics of this but my camera stopped working.

Does anyone know how hard it is to change out an inside door handle?? Me and the GF were going to a friends house the other day and when she went to open the door .. the handle just broke off!! Now, my GF is not that strong or anything so I know she didn't break it off with one pull. I got to looking at it and it looks like it might have been hairline cracked for a while. ANYWAYS, does anyone here know how to replace one? Or even how much the handle should cost? Just thought I'd get some input on getting this fixed since palozza is coming up soon.

should just be one screw to pop the whole handle/plastic shell out. and then there is a clip that you push off the rod to open the door that will release the whole unit.

Cool .. I'll have to swing by the local Mazda place this weekend and see how much the part costs.

Should be easy. Call around to the local junkyards first to see if they have any wrecked Proteges in the yard. You may get lucky and find one.

Indeed, it's pretty easy to remove. Just the one screw, then a little clippy thing on the rod.
