what the hell is up with CP Racing

A month ago now I ordered, and paid for, a triangulated strut tower bar from CP and have yet to receive it. That in its self doesnt bother me all that much, some times shipping takes forever for stupid reasons (even though Im from Alberta and a simple province to province shipment from Ontario to Alberta shouldnt take any more than 12 business days via regular post). My problem is that over the last two weeks Ive emailed these guys twice, and called them twice (both times having to leave voice messages after no-one answered) asking CP to confirm weather or not my order has been sent out, and I have received ZERO response. My first email was very polite, the second was slightly more assertive but still hospitable, in my first phone message I started to get irate, and in the last (just today) I threatened that if I dont receive at least some sort of response from them Im going to have my credit card company reverse the seemingly fraudulent CP racing charge.

This sucks, I dont want any trouble I just want my damn strut bar. I contacted these guys before I bought the bar to be sure they had them in stock. They said they did and were very quick to respond BEFORE they had my money.

Has anyone else had a bad experience with CP??

Does anyone maybe know an alternate phone number for CP??

Im flying out to Toronto on business early in the new year, maybe Ill just schedule a quick trip to visit these jack-offs in person.

Be sure you keep us updated, me in particular. Im about to buy one of those strut bars for X-mas. I don't want to ripped off, like in your case (maybe). Sorry to hear about your problems with these guys. Best of luck.

I remember seeing in the how-to that Natey made about installing the cp racing bar saying that he waited about a month before he got his.

I'll be sure to let everyone know how this works out for me. The problems that I'm having with CP seem very similar to the crap that people have had to put up with from Essential Speed. I'm not too worried though (pissed of yes, but not worried) when I show up on there door-step in January I guarantee my problem will be resolved.

Steve_Protege, I'd hold off on your purchase if I were you, CP's customer support leaves a hell of a lot to be desired. If I still had a choice in the matter, I wouldnt give them any of my money. It really sucks though that these losers are the only people manufacturing a 3 point strut brace for the Protg that I can find.

In the end it will be there loss, I had planned on buying their rear strut brace, and several of their RX7 parts as well (after feeling them out with my first order), but I certainly wont be dealing with CP Racing ever again.

I had to wait awhile, but I ordered my STB from Essential Speed. What a nightmare.
The good news is the triangle brace makes a nice, noticable difference! IMO, it was worth the wait, especially since the How-To is posted now. The worst part of my experience was trying to figure out how to reposition the power steering unit.

Also, demand a bracket for your ps unit!! This is the only reason I ordered mine from Essential Speed.

Well I got sick of waiting for CP to get around to shipping out my STB and had my credit card company reverse the CP charge today. Maybe that will get there attention, multiple email and phone messages over the space of a month and a half didnt, but I bet theyll start talking now that I took back my money. Its stupid that it had to come to this, I cant speak to the quality of CPs products (because I never received the piece I bought) but their customer service is easily bad enough to earn them a big thumbs-down from me. I wouldnt recommend CP Racing to anyone.
