im looking at the garden hose and red filter on top of the stock airbox
hmm i did that before. its one of those metallic hose you can buy from home depot or something. its supposed to be for your washing machine, but u can hook it up to your stock intake and run it like the injen cai. not that hard to do and much cheaper then the injen lol. i cant see any katakana in that picture either? idk. well i hope this can help you - chris

'pure air kuli' sounds like japanglish for 'cold air'
I think that's some kinda homebrew cai with a second redundant filter for drawing extra warm air from the engine bay... go figure. The garden hose thingy looks like it's for the radiator overflow, not connected to the pure air kuli.

the stock air intake systrem is still in the car, but not actually being used, except for the last half of it....
The stock filter box has the bottom taken off, and the hoses all lead to the bottom of the box where it now intakes air from, it just blows cold air in the general direction of the intake area. The red filter on the top of the stock intake is actually just showing you how the filter looks that they made themselves. It normally sits in the filterbox.

It's called an "air scoop" I believe, like an airbox to scoop air from outside to your stock air intake box, yes I believe it works like a CAI but that red filter could be made from some material that have a greater filteration capacity.
??? Garden Hose... hummm, could be a stronger replacement of the stock plastic hose for the radiator? cuz it looked like it ran from the coolant overflow tank to the radiator... I could be wrong though.
