What the heck happened in my engine bay?

Took it out last Friday. Just under 2,000 miles. No winters, no rain, no dirt roads. Treat it like 911 Turbo S. What do ya'll make of this?

How should we know. I mean ,really, is something this trivial even worth taking up the bandwidth to post and expecting answers.

The point of an online forum like this is to share information and help others. If you have nothing constructive to add to the discussion, don't post.

I'd say that you drove through a mud puddle, and it splashed up just right/wrong and made a mess in the engine compartment.

No great mystery.

No winters, no rain, no dirt roads, no mud puddles. Reading is fundamental- it's in the OP.

Looks like I am not welcome here. All good.

I appreciate the knowledge pre-purchase this forum's productive members provided.

I wish this forum to continue and thrive without me.

Bless your hearts.

You are most welcome here. Each member here speaks only for themselves - no one here speaks on behalf of the entire community.

I have only seen coolant leaving behind a white residue. Like when I spilled it while topping off. The only time I dealt with coolant sprays towards the back of the engine bay was on my 1993 NA. The hoses going through the firewall into the heater core developed a pinhole leak. Check your coolant levels in both the radiator and overflow/reservoir. Also squeeze your radiator hoses (while the caps are on) to check for leaks. It might be easier to stand on the passenger side of the engine bay to take a good look in the back. Hopefully you can find the source!

Well despite the misunderstanding in this thread (about not being welcome which I don't think is the case at all), as with any thread let's keep it on topic as others may find it useful.

@ch3no2 You're certainly welcome here, hope you'll stick around. :)

@sm1ke Thanks for keeping this thread on the rails. (y)

Now back to the engine bay mystery...Would be nice to know what happened!
