What people have told YOU about YOUR car

I have a vivid yellow P5 and old guys are always asking me how i got that color...like i had it custom painted or something...it's fricking hillarious One guy was just standing next to my car one day when I walked out of a store and he was like "Wow, them must be those fancy Porse brakes or something" and I was like, "Well not quite, it just spray painted them red, the calipers, that is"!(butt)

Same here, I think 3 people have asked me about the color:
"Hey, did you get it from the dealership in that color?"
"Did you paint your car that color?"

It's cool.

But my calipers don't get any comments since I chose to paint them ricey yellow.

I got my first comment on my car today! w00t!

I was sitting in the parking lot of Meijer (food store), had my windows down, and this white van with 2 guys in their mid 20's pulls up.

Van guy: "Hey man...what kinda car is that?"

Me: "It's a Mazda...Protege5"

Van guy: "Is that anything like the new Mazda 6 or whatever?"

Me: "Well, same company...this is slower though..."

Van guy: " *laughs* Looks real nice, bro..."


The conversation then got into them wanting to sell me some home speakers from the back of their van, so they were probably just trying to flatter me while trying to unload their obviously stolen merchandise.
Still, it was the first comment on it I've gotten from a complete stranger. So what if they were just "the fence" to unload some hot merchandise? They know a good looking car when they see one.

Ahh yes, the good ole sport/station wagon debate. I had this conversation with my husband so now he's taken to calling it a "sportion" wagon. Nice. :mad:

Yup.. he was detailing it today. He does a really good job. I been using him for 4 years now. Yeah.. his name is halarious! (lol2)
