Some guy asked me one time what kind of engine i had in it, i was like i really dont think it matters to you, And also when i was @ meineke a few weeks ago because i bent a fork on my stock UDP, (I couldnt get it off) - they said low compression meant my engine was blown.... I was like ummmm, yea so my newbie ass went along with it and they convinced me that i had really broken something so that next night i had it towed back home and me and alejo worked on it.... It ends up that our UDP controls like the timing on our car so basically it ****** up the compression, we threw on the new UDP and everything was A-OK!. I drove back the next day, and said it was the underdrive pulley, you lied to me, and you wanted was my money... I sent an email to Meineke customer support- i am hoping i get my money back. in the near future. I, myself believed them @ first but then researched it @ home and realised our cars are dependant upon that sensor down there for timing and since the stock udp wasmissing a fork it messed up the compression.

The best compliment I ever got was a coworker saying how nice my car looked, and asking if I got a body kit. When I told him it was stock, he was pretty shocked. His response: "Cars usually don't look that good stock" .

That was my brother-in-laws response when he first saw mine. And the first time my sister-in-law saw it she remarked that the previous owner put some 'big rims' on it....I am running the stock 16's.

IMO the P5 is one of the best looking cars to come out of the factory (first) and it handles sweet too!

my dad used to work at gunther many years ago lol if you know about the driveby that happened there, he was there when that happened.

all the girls i know love my car. they say its sooooo cute (all p5 owners get that i think lol) and my friend liana loves driving it, and my friend lyss wants it lol. most of my guy friends just say nice car dude, or damn its clean (im just about OCD when it comes to cleaning my car lol) had a guy in a tricked 97 accord honk his horn at me awhile back. so i think its safe to say our cars get noticed

When I'm in Boise, its alot of fun to cruise the strip at night just to get girls looking, then when I roll the back window down and my 3, 4, and 9 year old are in the back, they usually turn white as a ghost! ROFL


I also get asked now, "is that one of those new BMW 1's?!"

I also get asked what a Familia is, by MP5 owners. lol.

But the best compliment I've gotten so far is by a group of people, all of you!, and thats most important, cause you all know what the **** your talking about. Not just dumbasses on the street.

People always ask me why I got the wagon... and I say: maybe I got it because it's more functional than the sedan, came with a roofrack, isn't any longer, and looks a lot better than the normal sedan.

Plus I think the proportions look better on the Protege5 than the MSP/MP3.. the front bumper is too tall for a car that has such a compact rear... it's worse when they take their wings off then it's really weird.

That's why I'll never consider it a "wagon".. "sport wagon" maybe.. but never "wagon". When I think wagon I think of it being longer than the sedan, like with old volvo wagons.
