You would usually see this setup on drift cars but it works great for me. Must say very flexible and highly adjustable setup.

running Tokico Illuminas here. 5-way adjustable on stock springs. They are not bad at all. Huge improvement on my stockers that had 76k miles on them. Got them off e-bay for just shy of $500 if I remember correctly.

Struts are suspension components and do the dampening work. They work with the springs. If there were no strut/shock the car would bounce around like you were driving on Jell-o (from the springs rebound). Struts and shocks let the car "bounce" but they are valved to stop the motion after a bounce or two.
