So long story short...I cut off Mazda MPV 2002 while it was in drive. I placed it into park and restarted and it idled very roughly. I managed to get it home and did some google searching and wound up disconnecting the battery to see if that fixed anything(it didn't) when I restarted the van it started very roughly and backfired a little and doesn't idle(just starts and die unless I ride the gas and then it'll go as long as I have my foot on the gas). We found this underneath the van near the driver side tire. My brother in law seems to think that it's part of the EVAP system and it might be screwing with the vacuum system. I want to be sure that it's a part of that. I've tried looking for pics of it but haven;t had much luck. I appreciate any info regarding this.
