What I need to boost @ 15 psi? Hi-Boost check here too ;)

This is great, simple advice - thanks!

Hey Juan, I have the J-Spec Intake/MazdaSpeed exhaust cams still in my car (left over from my n/a days). Do I have to put my OEM's in before running your kit? If not, what effect will they have on the kit?

I run stock flywheel, stock engine mounts and organic clutch disc and still make 12.5 at the 1/4 mile and this keeps all the components from blowing. The springs in the clutch disc, the movement of the engine and the inertia of the flywheel absorb a lot of energy during launching and shifting, therefore keeping the drive shafts, tranny, from breaking.

Since you already have those in, I would give it a try. Does the car have a smooth idle?

gotta ask, why does that IC pipe go under the IC twice?

both pipes come down from the same place, and come back up though there as well, why?

Oh yeah, smooth as stock. I don't think there is much difference in overlap from stock - just a little more lift.

The car in the picture is a Mazda3. But is the same core that we will be using on the protege kit from now on.

Yes, this core is bigger and better than the first one. The old one is 22 x 6.5 x 2.5 and the new one is 24 x 7 x 3. The old one was for 350 WHP and the new one will take as much as 550 WHP.

Are you using this new core for the MSP fmic as well, or is that just for your full turbo kits?

I would like to know this as well, as I'm looking to get the Hiboost FMIC also.

hey Jaun I was planning on doing the big boost kit for the 2.0 any suggestions as I am new to the Mazda game, and am not familiar with the limitations of a factory block

We will do it for the MSP as well but maybe by March 2005. The FMIC kit will be redesigned completelly to fit the new core. In fact, it will have the same piping found in our turbo kits from the intercooler to the Throttle body.

To run the big boost kit we strongly recommend to get forged internals, which we have in stock, so you can enjoy the potential of the kit. The block will stand the power and so will the cranckshaft.

It is shot peened and cryo'd, btw :) Both of which concentrate mostly on durability and longevity, not strength AFAIK. If it were me, I would just bite the bullet and go forged rather than risk failure.

btw Juan, you got another customer (me) when i get the extra cash... i like how you always respond right away to everything, and your kit sounds like it kicks ass! :+)

Where are you getting these numbers? Have you tested these intercoolers to these HP levels and compared them against others?
550whp for intercooler that is only 24x7x3 seems very inflated.
I went to Spearco's site to see what they say about that intercooler you are using. The numbers they are claiming on the intercoolers comparable are alot less than yours.
