What have you done to your Rotary Mazda Today?

I wet sanded my RX-7 in preparation for repainting.

...and your RX-8?

Well I don't have one, but my friend does and I want to know what you've done to yours

modified.. polished.. installed a vmount for the fd..
modified existing hks intake kit to fit the vmount..
installed a mazdaspeed power plant frame..
installed a new ast tank.. fabricated and polished the mount for it..

relocating the battery in a few days...

Just bought some new wheels. A header, an S5 manifold both mods good for about 20whp. (stock system very restrictive)

Friend just dynoed his LS1 RX7. Still needs tuning but made 402hp and 401tq

Just got new wheels! Also I got a header, and vdi (variable dynamic intake) for my S4! 20-25 more hp off to mods! I love this car. And I changed all the fluids a few days ago.

I found a '90 RX-7 in what appears to be great condition with a CEL problem for $3000, also found an RX-8 Engine and transmission for sale for $2300.

Alas, I don't have the money for either, never mind for both + the money it would take to mate them up. It was a nice dream, though. I miss my RX.

Took her out of the garage today and gave her a well needed washing after trying to start it after sitting for 4 months...that didnt work...i need to clean the spark plugs and tinker around w/ it...

weight reduction

removed the air conditioning compressor, lines, and condenser
removed the aftermarket airhorn the previous owner had installed
removed the rear seats and replaced with the cargo pods and carpet from our gxl parts car (to keep it legal for our class... incidentally, the cargo pods are the PERFECT size to stow a helmet )

got her under 2600 lbs... (2599 on the scales, lol...)

installed camber plates, and set a rough alignment for autocross...

finally, took her out to the las vegas region SCCA autocross tonight and had a BLAST
